EXCLUSIVE TO CHROMA: This company have an exciting road map and 2020 is a big year for them as they prepare to move into their new state of the art facility. As part of this, they’re looking to grow their R&D capability with several Power Electronics Engineers to support the workload they have planned.

The role of Power Electronics Engineer reports directly to the Technical Director, however, it will have the opportunity to become a team leader in the not too distant future. This role requires someone with substantial industry experience and is unlikely to be suited to a junior engineer.

As a Power Electronics Engineer in the organisation, you’ll be responsible for designing firmware for embedded systems working from specification all the way through to test and production. It’s a 360 role where you will get the opportunity to work on something from scratch.

You’ll be working on new and legacy-based products that will have a genuine impact on the environment. You’ll be also supporting the less experienced engineers bringing them through then eventually becoming their leader.

This company is offering flexible working hours as well as some remote working opportunities to coincide with the strong remuneration package.

Power Electronics Engineer Requirements:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent in Electronics/Power Systems Engineering
  • Power Electronics Circuit Design
  • Knowledge ranging from 100v to 1000v
  • 1-3kwh experience
  • DC-DC & AC-DC Power Conversion
  • Battery technology is highly desirable
