This automotive client of ours is rapidly expanding its R&D capabilities over the next 6 months. As part of this growth we are looking for a Development Engineer with comprehensive test & development experience who are looking to take their career to the next level.

Reporting to the Development Team Leader on a day to day basis but you’ll be required to work autonomously and potentially mentor some of the more junior engineers. The role offers career progression and stability in a volatile engineering market.

You will be tasked with designing test circuits and systems for various projects, analysing test results, identifying issues, developing solutions and seeing them through to production. Other responsibilities include: researching innovative technologies, procurement and updating of existing test procedures.

Mechanical Development Engineer Requirements:
  • HNC/Degree Level in an engineering discipline (Ideally)
  • Comprehensive Test & Development Experience i.e. Design and Manufacture of test rigs, V&V etc. – essential
  • Automotive experience or similar (aerospace, rail etc.)
  • Hydraulics/Pneumatic experience (desirable)
  • APQP, DFMEA and DOE (working knowledge)
  • Running V&V programmes
  • LabVIEW or MATLAB (desirable)
