Due to growth, a global engineering company are looking to recruit a result orientated Mechanical Design Engineer to drive innovation across their diverse product range.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager and with a dotted line to the Technical Director the successful Mechanical Design Engineer will be tasked with taking projects through from concept to completion. Typical duties include: customer liaison, technical specs, 3D/2D CAD, compliance reports, V&V, procurement and seeing your work into production.

To be considered you will need to be an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with skills in precision engineering and strong understanding of design processes.

Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:

  • HNC/D or Degree level in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
  • 3D CAD – SolidWorks (or similar)
  • Precision component design experience – valves, mechanisms, hydraulics etc.
  • GD&T
  • Knowledge of machinery directive & other international standards
