This well-established company are looking to take on an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer in the Building Services sector. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be expected to be involved in all aspects in building services engineering including, design calculations, drawing production, sketches and specification writing.

You will be required to work in a very fast-paced environment and lead on projects. As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will need to obtain relevant information from architects, structural engineers and other design consultants for the scheme to progress. Additionally, you will need to Liaise with clients, professional organisations, contractors, suppliers, and sub-contracts as required to facilitate the needs of the project.

Mechanical Design Engineer Duties:

  • Outlining, sketching and communicating ideas and concepts.
  • Receive client design briefs, understand and develop design works
  • Produce specifications, schedules, drawings and any other contract documentation required on a project by project basis

Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:

  • HNC/D or BEng in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services related
  • 10 years + Experience in Mechanical Design in the Building Services sector
  • Fantastic written and verbal communication skills
  • Dedication and the drive to work together towards a common goal
  • Teamwork
