EXCLUSIVE TO CHROMA: This company have an exciting road map and 2020 is a big year for them as they prepare to move into their new state of the art facility. As part of this, they’re looking to grow their R&D capability with a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the workload they have planned.

The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will be tasked with designing & developing complex housings/enclosures for electronic parts using a mix of metals and plastics. This is a full lifecycle role where you’ll be able to take a product through from concept to manufacture and work on technologies that will have a genuine impact on the environment.

For the right Mechanical Design Engineer candidate, the company is offering flexible working hours plus the opportunity to work remotely when the company can allow it.

Mechanical Design Engineer requirements:

  • HNC/D or degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3D CAD skills
  • Experience designing electronic enclosures (or similar)
  • Plastic injection moulding/tooling experience
  • Consumer products industry experience (highly beneficial)
  • 3D printing experience (desirable)
