A global Engineering & Manufacturing company in the North Manchester area are looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to work from cradle to grave on a range of bespoke machinery.

Working in a busy design office, the chosen Mechanical Design Engineer will get to work on both customer and R&D projects. Typical tasks involve customer liaison, producing 3D models, in-depth detailing work, technical drawings, design calculations, documentation, BOMs, costings and seeing your work through to manufacture with a close link up to the shop floor.

This is a brilliant role for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer offering significant job satisfaction, stability and progression. You will be granted a lot of autonomy from day one and will get to manage your own projects once you’re up and running. Mechanical Design Engineer requirements:

  • HNC/D or Degree Level in a Mechanical Engineering discipline (or similar)
  • Proven Special Purpose Machinery/Capital Equipment design (or similar)
  • Strong 3D CAD skills
  • Machined Components & Sheet Metal experience
  • Hydraulics/Pneumatics (desirable)
