This role is for a Technical Author who can work collaboratively with the Knowledge Manager and technical team members. Our client is a well-known SaaS company who produce an industry leading application that is streamlining the way companies work internally.
You will join a small but rapidly expanding team where tech and innovation are at the very heart of everything they do.
This role is a new role for a Technical Author who has genuine passion for documenting and presenting in the written / visual form.
The working environment is relaxed and positive. You will be surrounded by people who are easy to talk to, open to new ideas and always looking for ways to support each other’s development. You will be working alongside Department Heads, Scrum Masters, Developers and Testers, as well as liaising with customers and senior stakeholders.
In Summary, this Technical Author role involves:

• Document an Enterprise Scale product (internal)
• Create accessible and functional documents with excellent structure
• Taking a customer perspective to the writing and presenting (external)
• Production of technical client user guides
• Creating online help – self-service guides
• Occasional production of training material
• Bringing ideas to the table and challenge the ‘status quo’

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Minimum 1-year experience working in a Technical Author or similar role
• Excellent attention to detail
• Be able to break down and ‘chunk’
• Strong publishing skills
• To be confident with excellent communication skills to liaise with technical colleagues
