EXCITING OPPORTUNITY: This global manufacturer is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their sustaining engineering department.

This is a highly satisfying role where the successful Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will get to work across an extensive portfolio of new & existing products to manage change and come up with innovations to reduce cost and optimise performance.

Typical duties include 3D / 2D CAD, technical reports, BOMs, calculations, FEA / CFD, value engineering, test & validation, documentation and product support.

Essential Senior Mechanical Design Engineer requirements:

• HNC/Degree Level in a Mechanical engineering
• 3D CAD – Inventor (or similar)
• Precision component design experience using GD&T – essential
• VA / VE
• Knowledge of structured design processes – Stage/Gate, FMEA, Change control etc.

Desirable requirements:

• Simulations skills – CFD or FEA
• Automotive industry experience
• Experience with Hydraulics or Pneumatics
