This is an opportunity to join a technology driven, global organisation at their Manchester headquarters. You will be the 3rd and final escalation point for technical issues within the group, ranging from servers and backups to the cloud platform and networks.

You should have a broad technical skill set and be excited about new technologies that can provide effective solutions to escalated technical issues, whilst providing a high level of technical expertise to the business.

You’ll be working with:

• M365
• Windows Server
• Networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN, WAN, Routers, Switches, Firewalls)
• Active Directory
• Exchange
• Hyper-V / VMware
• Backups & Storage
• Azure

Day to day you’ll be:

• Involved in investigating problems, providing root cause analysis and resolution of configuration and deployment issues
• Providing technical solutions ensuring effective working across the business
• Managing installations, patches, rollouts, releases and upgrades across systems and applications.
• Providing Infrastructure support for hundreds of employees across multiple locations
• Responsible for physical and virtual server infrastructure management and admin
• Actively involved in a number of projects
• Supporting multi-site technical environments
• Delivering on key projects such as migrations from on prem to the cloud and data backups
• Implementing SSO strategy and multi factor authentication
• Taking ownership of escalated issues as 3rd line support and resolving any queries within Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
• Ensuring third party applications run efficiently across all platforms
