A bespoke Special Purpose Machinery & Automation company in the West Yorkshire region are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. This company develop bespoke systems and integrate high-tech equipment across a number of sectors.

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will provide input into concepts for customers manufacturing requirements and be responsible for the mechanical design realisation of the project. You’ll work within a collaborative Engineering team consisting of Application, Manufacturing, Automation and Electrical Design teams.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements –

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, HNC or Apprenticeship with proven experience in the Industry
• Strong 3D CAD skills (ideally with Solidworks)
• Experience in the design of machines and solutions for automated production processes from concept to delivery
• Designing high-precision complex components (GD&T BS8888)
• Tooling, Jigs & Fixture design (desirable)
• Research & Development for new designs, operations and performance of equipment and systems
• Project Planning and Management experience
