An industry leading Special Purpose Machinery manufacturer in the West Yorkshire region are looking for a highly skilled R&D Mechanical Design Engineer to strengthen their Engineering & NPD department.

As an R&D Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll work within an experienced Engineering team, generating design concepts for a range of complex Special Purpose Machinery used in a highly-niche sector. You’ll have the ability to oversee projects from blank sheet paper design – including first principle calculations, simulation/FEA, component design and seeing your product through to manufacture and testing.

This role will suit an Engineer who’s looking to join a tight-knit Engineering team where you’ll receive first class training and development, exposure to each stage of a design project and the chance to deal with clients on a global scale.

R&D Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:

  • Apprentice Trained/HNC/D or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3D CAD – SolidWorks
  • Experienced in Special Purpose Machinery design
  • Complex Component Design
  • GD&T (BS8888)
  • FEA Simulation
  • Project Management Experience
