A UK market leader within the Structural & Fabrication design sector are looking for an experienced R&D Mechanical Design Engineer. This company boast a highly skilled Design Team with over 20 Engineers, focusing on manufacturing, building services and construction.

As an R&D Mechanical Design Engineer – you’ll focus on concept blank sheet paper design on projects valued anywhere from £10K to £2M. This will involve overseeing the R&D, Design, Manufacturing, Testing & Analysis of new fabricated structures and steelwork, as well as complex high-precision components, utilising hand calcs and FEA.

R&D Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:
 

• Apprentice Trained / HNC/D or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Solidworks, Inventor, AutoCAD
• Structural Steel & Fabrications
• Sheet Metal (cutting, folding, bending)
• FEA
• R&D (Cradle to Grave Experience)
• EuroCodes, Compliance
