We are working with a fast-growing Manufacturing business based in Cheshire who are looking for a Project Accountant to join their team. This is a newly created role on the back of a number of recent client wins.
The company have been in existence for over 20 years and are one of the leaders in their field. They have won a number of long-term contracts, both domestic and international. For this reason, they are now looking for a qualified Project Accountant to join their finance team.
The role:
This is a newly created role, the main purpose of which is to help support the business from a financial perspective as they experience this period of exciting growth – this will help advance the quality and flow of work through the business. You will support the documentation and improve as-is finance processes and controls to ensure they’re “fit for purpose” as the business continues to grow to reduce the risk exposure.
You will also increase the support to other operational areas of the business by providing relevant and accurate financial information as to the financial position for any of the projects they have on-going, which would include KPI’s and forecast data, to aid decision making within the business.
The Person
Will ideally be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CGMA) with recent and in-depth experience of working within a project-based business. They will have previously worked in an Infrastructure, Engineering or Oil & Gas environment, where they have been responsible for the monthly financial reporting of long-term Delivery Projects. In addition to this, as a member of the small finance team you will be expected to help out as and when required with ad-hoc tasks and projects, but also suggest areas of improvement for the current processes and systems.
