Job Reference Number:  4517
Recruitment Consultant: Steph Kavanagh
Salary: £35,000 to £60,000

We are currently recruiting for a Software Engineer to join a rapidly growing FinTech business based in Manchester. This is a hybrid role with 2 days on site and 3 days working from home. The company has been operating for 6 years and has doubled its staff from 20 to 40 over the last two, growing its users from 600,000 to 2 million. Further expansion plans are in the works, making this a really exciting time to join the team!

In this role, you will be joining a team of 6 and a wider tech team of 25. You will be involved in all stages of the development process, and build and scale a number of new products. With this being a small team, they are very collaborative and ensure the development is done the right way rather than the quickest way. With that in mind, as a company they always invest in the latest technology and have a clear structure for training and progression, including a £500 spend per year on external training and internal training happening every Friday.

Due to growth they are hiring from mid to lead level developers at this stage

Essential skills:

  • PHP
  • MVC framework (Symfony, Laravel, CodeIgniter etc)
  • T.D.D / Unit Testing / PHPUnit

Desirable skills (these are things you can learn on the job):

  • AWS Lambda
  • AWS
  • MySQL / NoSQL / MongoDB
  • Microservices
