A global engineering business are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with strong machine design skills to work in a vibrant design office on a highly advanced product range.
Due to the interesting nature of their work, the company boast a very high staff retention and a strong workplace culture. The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will be granted a lot of autonomy and will in time get to manage their own projects. For ambitious candidates there are also lots of long-term progression opportunities.
Typical duties include: – Full lifecycle product development, customer and R&D projects, 3D CAD, drawing to BS8888, hand calculations/FEA simulations, component/material selection and overseeing your work into manufacture.
Mechanical Design Engineer requirements:
HNC/D or Degree Level in a Mechanical Engineering
Special Purpose Machinery or Industrial Equipment design experience
3D CAD skills (SolidWorks, CREO, Inventor or similar)
GD&T
Competent with mechanical engineering calculations
