IT Support Team Lead – Mentoring, M365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, VMware

We are looking for a Service Desk Team Leader to join a fast-growing technology business in Manchester city centre with endless opportunity to grow and further your career.

Day to day you’ll be:

  • Guiding, managing and mentoring the development and progression of the apprentices and more junior members of the team
  • Leading the help desk teams, conducting daily briefings and performance development
  • Making sure tickets are prioritised and escalated appropriately
  • Ensuring the right operational procedures are in place, improved upon and managed effectively so that workflow is correctly coordinated between the team
  • Making sure that the support tools are used effectively and voicing any suggestions for improvement or replacement
  • Working closely with customers and account managers a to ensure expectations and SLA’s are met
  • Ensuring the support desk is sufficiently skilled and manned to maintain service standards
  • Delivering outstanding customer service through understanding the user’s needs
  • Managing the support team rota, customer change requests and delivering/coordinating training for the team
  • Communicating and liaising verbally and in writing with all stakeholders (Internal users, customers, suppliers etc.)
  • Pursuing personal development of your skills/ knowledge base to effectively perform the role at a high standard.
