Project Manager – Infrastructure

Chroma Technology is working with a fast-growing MSP based in Greater Manchester, who have an urgent need for an Infrastructure Project Manager to lead role in the Delivery of a number of projects across their very diverse client base, predominantly around the MS365 Cloud Offering.

As the business has grown the size and complexity of the projects they are winning has increased greatly and they are looking for this Infrastructure Project Manager to be the lead from the business to spearhead the successful delivery. Your focus will be delivering projects on time, within budget and fostering collaborative/constructive relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally. No client, project and set of requirements will be the same, so you will be facing new challenges daily.

An example of the projects you will be managing are:

  • Migration to Azure Cloud services
  • Migration to Data Centre
  • Enterprise data migrations
  • Microsoft Office 365 migrations and rollout (Cloud)
  • MS productivity suite migrations and rollout, e.g. SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive for Business (Cloud)

You will be working closely with internal Account Managers, Pre-sales staff and Solutions Designers to ensure projects are clearly defined. You will be co-ordinating technical teams, to deliver the projects successfully for the clients.

Technical Experience:

  • Server, Desktop, Network and Telephony providers
  • Client-side technologies, Windows 7-10, Thin Client
  • Cloud-based technologies, O365, Exchange Online and Azure preferred
  • Email migration processes and complex email routing environments
  • Multi-site and multi forest Active Directory
  • Desktop sanitation and standard build deployment
  • Infrastructure knowledge

 
Person Specification

  • At least 3 years’ experience in an Infrastructure Project Manager role
  • Prince 2 Practitioner
  • Experience of using waterfall project methodologies
  • Ability to run multiple projects maintaining quality and control
  • Ability to lead and provide guidance to infrastructure engineers drawing on their project and technical experience
  • Demonstrate a very high level of customer service and empathy to the customer issues delivering solutions while working within budget
  • Full UK driving licence
