Due to continued growth, this organisation is looking to recruit a new Firmware Engineer as they develop the next generation of their products. This role is a unique opportunity to work for a company that allows people to be creative and work on projects from concept all the way through to completion.

The role of Firmware Engineer reports to the Head of Electronics but you’ll be integrating with mechanical, software, and test engineers. Your role is to work on new projects taking them from requirements and specifications through to design and into manufacture.

This role is ideal for someone who considers themselves to be an all-rounder across electronics and firmware. The focus is electronics, but embedded skills will be highly desirable. You’ll be responsible for developing embedded systems on new and legacy platforms. If you have any experience with electronics design, this will be greatly advantageous.

Firmware Engineer Requirements:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent in Electronics or Software Engineering
  • Embedded C programming
  • Microcontroller Development (ARM, PIC, ST, Microchip)
  • Protocols – I2C, USB, SPI
  • Understanding of electronics
  • C++/C# (desirable)
  • Linux/Windows operating systems (desirable)
