This is an opportunity to join a forward thinking, close-knit, global organisation at their Stockport base, supporting enterprise level software on both a BAU & projects basis.  You’ll provide 3rd line support working alongside a technical, cross-functional team of engineers that take great pride in their work culture to ensure a positive, productive and enjoyable environment.

You should have a broad technical skillset and be excited about new technologies that can provide effective solutions to escalated technical issues, whilst providing a high level of technical expertise to the business.

Day to day you’ll be:

• Providing technical solutions and Infrastructure support for hundreds of employees across multiple locations

• The escalation point for the 2nd line team

• Maintaining high availability of services through pro-active support with your team and an external MSP
• Responsible for the design, implementation, delivery and maintenance of infrastructure strategy
• Taking ownership and responsibly for the security of the organisations systems and for systems estate in conjunction with group compliance

• Ensuring cost-effective delivery of high quality services
• Creating a model to improve the systems availability, performance, incident frequency and reduce outgoing costs for the business

• Providing comprehensive and highly technical consulting to the business
• Producing and maintaining an up-to-date inventory and configuration for all operational infrastructures, hardware, software, and software licenses including warranty information
