Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum + Benefits Package

Due to an unprecedented uplift in sales a leading Electro-Mechanical company in the Cheshire area are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer ideally from a plastic injection moulding background to work on their exciting product range.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a growing company where you will get to see your designs go through the full manufacturing lifecycle with a company that tests, manufactures and assembles in house!

Reporting to the Mechanical Team Leader on a day-to-day basis you’ll be required to work autonomously and potentially mentor some of the more junior engineers. The role offers career progression and stability in a volatile engineering market.

Mechanical Design requirements:

  • Time Served Engineer and/or BEng/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
  • Plastics/Injection Moulding/Tooling experience – Essential
  • Proven track record in Mechanical Design – Essential
  • Design of electro-mechanical products – Very beneficial
  • 3D CAD – SolidWorks (or similar)
  • ATEX, IECEx experience – or similar – Desirable
