A well-established leading engineering firm in the West Yorkshire area is going through an exciting period of growth in terms of projects and revamping their facilities. As part of this development, they are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their friendly and dedicated team.

The successful candidate will work closely with a diverse team of Design Engineers and will have direct mentoring and input from the Technical Director and Engineering Manager.

This is a full lifecycle role which will involve not just reworking designs for production but blank sheet design, R&D, mechanical calculations, shop floor test & validation, customer/supplier liaison and seeing your work through to manufacture.

Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:

  • HND/Degree level in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
  • Industrial Mechanical Design experience ideally with Valves or related equipment (actuators, pressure vessels, pumps, hydraulics etc.)
  • 3D CAD – Autodesk Inventor (or similar)
  • ASME, PED etc. standards experience – very beneficial
  • Solid Mathematical ability
  • Great communicator with a passion for Design Engineering
