A fantastic opportunity has emerged at a reputable Engineering company for a Mechanical Design Engineer to design a range of bespoke Hydraulics systems.

You will be actively involved in the full product life cycle – designing hydraulic components and assemblies to meet a customer’s specification, producing 3D models/2D drawings, technical reports, bill of materials and costings and seeing your design through to testing and manufacture.

This is an excellent opportunity for an junior to mid-level Mechanical Design Engineer who is looking to take their career to the next level within a well-established company that can offer stability and progression in a volatile engineering market

Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:

Essential:

  • HNC/HND or BEng in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Experience working on some form of Fluid/Pressure Equipment i.e. Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Pressure Vessels, Pumps etc.
  • 3D CAD – Pro-E/Creo or similar (e.g. SolidWorks, Inventor etc.)
  • Solid understanding of fluid power systems
  • GD&T

Desirable:

  • Automotive hydraulic system experience
  • BOMs, technical documentation etc.
