Junior DevOps Engineer

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum + Benefits

One of Manchester’s most creative brands are expanding their team and beefing up their operational infrastructure. As part of their expansion strategy, they are looking to bring a Junior DevOps Engineer on to the team to be mentored by a more senior DevOps guy.

This role reports directly to the Solutions Architect and is great for somebody who wants to learn and be trained by a highly experienced manager. They are adopting new technologies and principles, so this is a great time to join!

What will you be doing?

  • Delivering solutions to improve the overall quality of product build, deployments, monitoring etc.
  • Getting full training on DevOps with AWS
  • Helping to implement a CI/CD strategy to evolve cross functional collaboration and best practices
  • Solving any scaling issues
  • Supporting the business as required with out of hours/ on call shifts
  • Building automation that will eliminate repetitive tasks
  • Developing and maintaining technical documentation

What do you need?

  • At least one years’ experience with cloud platforms – AWS/ Google Cloud (not necessarily commercial experience!)
  • Linux Admin experience
  • Experience working in Agile/ Scrum
  • Ability to set up servers EC2 and RDS
  • Any AWS Certifications (advantageous)
  • A great attitude to learning
  • Patience and energy for working in a fast-paced team
