A great opportunity has arisen for 2 x Embedded Software Engineers for an innovative technology company based in rural West Yorkshire. These two positions are due to company growth and new projects coming through the business. They’re happy to look at candidates from junior through to senior level and happy to train and develop as long as the individual has the core skills.

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you’ll be joining a large R&D team working with electronics, mechanical and software developers. This role reports to the Software Team Leader who is responsible for all embedded functions.

You’ll be working on full lifecycle software development from cradle to grave. Dependent on the level of role, you could be leading projects or being mentored by a more experienced senior member of the team. You’ll be responsible for specification, design, test and overall maintenance. Ideal candidates will have experience of working on electronic platforms and working closely with cross-functional teams.

Embedded Software Engineer Requirements:

  • Embedded C/C++ programming
  • Embedded Linux
  • Communication Protocols – (TCP/IP ideally)
  • Object Orientated Development
  • UML (desirable)
  • Android Development (desirable)
