This business is a large multi-site business who specialise in bespoke machinery used in a number of industries. As a result of their continued growth, we are looking for a Buyer who is from a technical background ideally having worked with electronics and electro-mechanical components.

The role of Buyer reports to the Head of Purchasing on a day to day basis but you’ll be working as part of team integrating with the R&D functions.

You’ll be responsible for managing component parts selection and purchasing through the ERP System. They use SAP, but any other ERP system will be considered too. You’ll be managing and maintaining the inventory, moving stock and working with suppliers to ensure stock levels are accurate.

You’ll be developing relationships with external and internal stakeholders to help reduce cost. As a Buyer you’ll be reporting to Senior Management with progress updates and working with all departments.

Buyer Requirements:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent level of education
  • CIPS Qualified (desirable)
  • Working knowledge of ERP Systems – SAP preferred
  • Electronics/Electro-Mechanical product experience
  • Global Sourcing experience
