A new has been created for a Business Applications Support Analyst. You will be mentoring a more junior person from day one, and will have the opportunity to make this role your own.

You will be working in a friendly, supportive team surrounded by excellent technical experts that will ensure the delivery of a large complex business. You will be reporting to the Senior IT Business Partner within and close-knit team of 4.

You will have previous experience working in a large community of business users and be motivated to build out team to support business requirements.

 

Day to day duties include:

  • Working as a senior within a newly formed team
  • Running SQL queries, maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Support and troubleshooting of the core business application
  • Manage and co-ordinate system changes and configuration requests
  • Working with 3rd party suppliers daily to deliver enhancement to business systems
  • Liaising with end users at various levels
  • Ensuring high system availability and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to investigation and troubleshooting skills
  • Providing direction and support to junior members of the team

Essential personal skills include:

  • Outgoing personality
  • Excellent communication with good customer service skills who is self-motivated and proactive
  • Organised, confident and friendly
  • Ideally you will have a strong technical appreciation, and have perhaps come from a support route
  • Be able to understand the wider consequences of their role and actions to be able to deliver business benefits
